The Tricerchi family was a part of the Sienese oligarchy back in the 12th century. They have established Castello Tricerchi in 1441, and today lived and managed by their 17th generation, the Squarcia family. The estate extends for 400 hectares on the north side of Montalcino, using organic agricultural practice.
