Clear, intense ruby. Complex, with hints of strawberry, cherry jam, lightly spicy with floral and mineral notes. Balanced, intense, with dense and elegant tannins. A long savoury, minerally finish. Harmonious, with a great possibility of developing. Pair with white meats, semi-seasoned cheeses, pasta.

Rosy florals, strawberries and worn leather nuances waft up from the 2020 Rosso di Montalcino. This is a pure and light-bodied effort with a mineral tinge that comes forward through the finish. Lightly structured and a bit short, this leaves me longing for more character.

about the brand
Castello Tricerchi

The Tricerchi family was a part of the Sienese oligarchy back in the 12th century. They have established Castello Tricerchi in 1441, and today lived and managed by their 17th generation, the Squarcia family. The estate extends for 400 hectares on the north side of Montalcino, using organic agricultural practice. The vineyards, planted in 1995, cultivated with Sangiovese at 300 meters above sea level with north and west exposure. This position benefits from the unique microclimate and terroir of the north side of Montalcino, cooler and more protected, guaranteeing constant ripening of the grapes, for wines of marked freshness and elegance.
