2014 {(currentVariant.size?' | ':'')} {( currentVariant.size )}
Pauillac, Medoc, Bordeaux, France
Type Red
Grape Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Drink Now/Cellar
5th Growth

Deep and intense black color. The nose exhibits smoked notes, blackcurrant, chocolate and nutmeg. After aeration, it shows an impressive intensity and reveals notes of Morello cherry and blueberry. The attack is dense and expressive. The palate is full-bodied, very harmonious with ripe soft tannins accompanied by a complex fruit, milky toffee, toasted cocoa.

meat:
Beef, Game, Sausages
cheese:
Blue cheese, Goat cheese

The 2014 Pédesclaux is a very pretty, open-knit wine. Succulent dark cherry, mint, plum, smoke and leather, along with silky tannins, give the wine its soft contours and pleasant, up-front personality. The 2014 is a bit one-dimensional but quite attractive. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later. The blend is 53 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 47 % Merlot. In 2014, the harvest took place between September 30 and October 17 at Pédesclaux's brand-new facility, which features state-of-the-art equipment. The 2014 saw 60 days of skin contact - very long by any measure - with malolactic fermentation in barrel.
