The wines of Volnay have always fine tannins, which makes them supple with good aging potential .This cru has a dream terroir. The silt and gravels are abundant which gives a wine of great finesse and a noble texture.

The 2017 Volnay Les Champans 1er Cru has a far superior bouquet compared to the Village Cru, featuring bright red cherry and crushed strawberry scents. The medium-bodied palate is cohesive and poised, displaying fine tannin and an attractive dash of cracked black pepper toward the finish. Excellent.
