The nose is at first discreet, even closed. The wine needs air to reveal all its complexity. The stunning aromatic finesse of this vintage then shows through. Black fruits mingle with liquorice, spices and then floral notes. The oak beautifully enhances this delicate bouquet. The entry on the palate is clean and soft at the same time. Immediately, the volume, flesh and velvety texture are pure delight, not forgetting concentration! Intense flavours of black fruits. The tannins are dense and promise long ageing. The oak, already integrated, enhances the very fruity character of this vintage. The balance between alcohol, acidity and structure is ideal. The excellent length of flavour augurs well for excellent ageing potential.
