Discreet on the nose at first with fruity hints coming through on swirling the glass The entry on the palate is fresh and flavoursome. Nice concentration and fine tannins with fruit flavour coming to the fore.

The 2017 Lascombes is dark, plush and sumptuous, as it so often is. A wine with no hard edges and tons of immediacy, Lascombes will be hard to resist pretty much upon release. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, menthol, licorice and lavender infuse the 2017 with striking depth as well as character. Readers should expect a racy, unapologetically flamboyant style.
