The 2017 Saint-Aubin Villages derives 80% from Premier Crus, which probably explains the mineralité that comes through on the nose. The palate is well balanced and maybe does not quite deliver on the promise of the aromatics, yet it has commendable weight and well-judged acidity, with just a dab of spiciness that lingers on the aftertaste. Probably a very fine value.
