This wine boasts an intense garnet-red hue and a brilliant lustre. The nose is dense and complex, exuding aromas of black fruits and wood mushrooms. On the palate, it is powerful and crunchy, striking a balance with its fine and elegant tannins. The finish is lingering, leaving a lasting impression.

The 2019 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru is 100% whole bunch and 100% new oak. There is just a touch of reduction on the nose, but that gives way to reveal dark berry fruit, undergrowth and black pepper. Prior to racking the stem element is still evident. The palate is medium-bodied with a lick of dark chocolate on the entry from the new oak. Quite dense, it seems fresh and vibrant, though it will require several years to fully absorb that new oak.
