Very deeply-coloured. The nose is dominated by red fruit aromas, elegantly underpinned by complex oak. The palate is dense and full-bodied. Silky, highly elegant tannins give the wine exceptional length.

The 2013 Petit-Mouton is a pretty, up-front wine that offers plenty of near-term appeal. The style is fruity, open and resonant throughout. Plum, black cherry, cinnamon and sweet French oak linger on the soft, caressing finish. The 2013 is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot. Tasted twice.
