The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a potent, brooding wine. Scorched earth, leather, tobacco, incense, dried herbs and chocolate all show the hallmarks of a wine that is beginning to enter its early plateau of maturity. There’s plenty of structural and textural intensity, especially considering virtually the entire vineyard had been recently replanted at the time. Black cherry, tobacco, menthol, licorice and dried herbs linger on the poised, textured finish.
