The 2018 Chablis Vau de Vey 1er Cru shows the natural breadth and amplitude of this site. Partial vinification in oak brings out a good deal of textural richness in the dried pear, spice and floral-infused flavors. Overall, the 2018 is somewhat hushed, quiet wine, but it has good depth. To be fair, it has also just been bottled.
