The nose recognises the great Meursault: a bouquet where notes of candied lemons, laurel, herbs, and iodine mingle, in counterpoint to some woody notes. One feels a lot of distinction. The palate reveals a tense but sensual Meursault which extends its fruity fatness with as much pleasure as nobility, a lot of balance. Nice bitters energise the finish and one thinks of cooking rare fish, rock fish, and festive poultry.

The 2021 Meursault Les Bouchères 1er Cru is impressive on the nose with real presence: yellow fruit, desiccated orange peel and crushed stone aromas. The palate is well balanced with a very subtle reduction on the entry, fine acidity, linear and focused towards the finish. One of the best whites from the Domaine this year.
