Chateau Lafite Rothschild

Guillaume Lawton said of Chateau Lafite, “I consider it to be the the most elegant and delicate, with the finest substance of the three (Premier Crus). The location of its vines is one of the finest in the Medoc”. In 1855 the Chateau was ranked as a Premier Grand Cru in the famous classification that was prepared for the Universal Exhibition of that year. Since then, it has been recognized as one of top producers of the Bordeaux left bank, also a "perfect pointer" for many vintages awarded by Robert Parker.

On Friday, we are having our very first eTasting with this prestigious First Growth with Jean-Sebastien Philippe, their Commercial Director, tasting the ready-to-drink Carruades de Lafite 2008, the 100-pointer Chateau Lafite 2003, the blossoming Chateau Lafite 1998 and the adorable Chateau Rieussec 2013, which have been carefully selected by the Chateau. All wines are either Primeurs stocks or released by the Estate to Omtis in recent years - with perfect provenance.
